ABOUT  ME

Hi! I'm Maryclare.

A brief about-me: I'm a New York City multihyphenate - creative producer, director, company manager, and arts administrator.
Full time, I work remotely as National Assistant Company Manager for Drunk Shakespeare (after a summer stint as Company Management Assistant for the Williamstown Theatre Festival). I'm an Artistic & Production Assistant at the Sol Project and book comedy shows at the People's Improv Theatre. In the indie sector, I'm currently an Associate Producer for the Episodic Theatre Project and an Assistant Producer for mbc theatrical r&d.
I recently wrapped production on my debut short film, Stop Signs, as Executive Producer, which is currently in consideration for over thirteen film festivals internationally!

Prior to NYC,
I worked under the Dome of Casa Mañana Theatre for about a year, floating between various arts administration departments and assisting Gerry McIntyre twice in two different Broadway-series musicals (Grease and The Color Purple). I proudly hold my BFA in Theatre, emphasis Theatre Studies from Texas Christian University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and as the departmental nominee for the Sullivan Excellence in Fine Arts Award. While at TCU I made my directorial debut with The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The Moon Marigolds by Paul Zindel. There I also discovered my love for artistic producing as the Performance Coordinator for Alpha Psi Omega, where I programmed and produced a full season of shows including a pre-Broadway reading of John Proctor is the Villain, a full-length Broadway revue which I conceptualized and executed two years in a row, and a joyous drag production shortly after Texas attempted to ban drag performances.

I also work consistently on film/tv/commercial sets, spending two seasons in Texas filming
The Chosen (TV Show: Amazon Prime/5&2 Studios) as a Talent Coordinator. In New York, I worked on Bad Day (Netflix) and worked on a swathe of commercials for various clients (Geico, Converse, IHOP, Altair Eyewear) as an Office Production Assistant, Set Production Assistant, and once I was an unofficial 2nd 2nd Assistant Director... but that's a story for another time. Production companies I've worked with are SMUGGLER, RexFilm, York Production, Good Behavior, and Southern Sky Studios.

In leadership positions, I strive to bring out the best in every person I work with. By recognizing each individual's unique talents, I always work towards fostering an environment where everyone can shine and contribute their best work. I work to make a positive impact beyond the realm of just arts and entertainment. Two charities that hold special places in my heart are Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times (a summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings) and Creative Kids Playhouse Children's Theatre of Orange County, having grown up attending year-round programming at both organizations. As a childhood cancer survivor myself, I draw inspiration from these experiences, shaping my commitment to lead with love and provide opportunities for others to showcase their talents.

I love to spend any rare free time volunteering for charities. In my professional life, I hope to create and share stories that are not only compelling but speak on the importance of love and empathy. I am motivated by passion and a desire to contribute positively. I approach problem-solving with a unique perspective, always striving to make the world a better place and choose to embrace challenges as opportunities to find solutions. I dive in headfirst every chance I get to learning a new skill, such as film and audio editing, a new performance technique, graphic design, or utilizing a new technology.

To truly understand who I am, take a look at my culture document I developed for university leadership– a reflection of my values, motivations, and leadership philosophy. Feel free to explore and even adopt some of the ideas, because making the world a better place is something we can work together on.

If you're curious to know more about me, my journey, or the exciting projects I'm working on, feel free to reach out! I believe that by sharing stories we can inspire positive change and create a better world.
